Gabriel Iliescu · HR & Workforce Consultant

HR expertise for teams developing and adopting AI.

Compensation & Benefits · Job Evaluation · Workforce Planning

I am an economist with an Executive MBA and experience in HR, consulting, operational management and procurement. I believe that integrating AI into organizations should support both operational efficiency and people’s development. As roles and skills evolve, I see an important role for HR in preparing for this change and building balanced collaboration between people and technology.

My interest in AI brings together a focus on how people learn, develop and work together with a desire to turn ideas into solutions to real problems. I am drawn to the opportunity to contribute to the development and use of this technology to simplify work, support better-informed decisions and create new opportunities for people and organizations to grow. This is where I would like to apply my HR and business experience, alongside what I am learning and building in AI.

Relevant HR experience

Independent consulting — Human Touch Consulting Group

Since 2010, my consulting work has covered recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, performance management (including goal setting), job evaluation, salary structures and workforce management. I have also contributed to projects on organizational culture, mission, vision and values, as well as to employee opinion surveys.

HR experience in multinational telecom companies

Vodafone Romania · Cosmote Romania (OTE – Deutsche Telekom) · 2002–2013

My experience covers compensation and benefits, workforce planning, personnel cost budgeting and HR reporting, as well as adapting HR information systems (HRIS/HRMS) to business needs. I have also contributed to organizational transformation and design projects, and to the integration of group companies.

Recent implementation — AAylex One SA, 2025–2026

Alongside the HR team, as a colleague and internal adviser, I contributed to a broader organizational transformation project. My contribution included job analysis, Mercer-based evaluation of all company positions, job grading and salary structures, as well as support in organizational design, workforce planning and personnel budgeting. The resulting job and salary grids were approved and implemented.

Practical AI experience · 2025–2026

AIBRIEL — AI applications and digital product development

During 2025–2026, I intensified my hands-on work with AI through AIBRIEL, combining business experience with the development of applications, prototypes and AI-enabled workflows. This work spans product concepts, user journeys, business requirements, development with AI assistance, testing and deployment. Through these projects, I have gained basic practical knowledge of AI solution architecture, model integration, knowledge retrieval, persistent memory, workflow orchestration and output evaluation.

The applications I develop are designed to simplify work that takes too much time, automate repetitive tasks and help people find the information they need to make a decision. Some address a single task, while others bring several steps of a process together.

My contribution connects business needs with practical product decisions: defining the problem and intended users, structuring functionality, integrating AI capabilities, evaluating outputs and refining the experience through testing. This gives me a practical perspective on how domain expertise, clear requirements and iterative evaluation contribute to building useful AI products.

Where I could contribute to AI projects

My current focus is applying HR domain knowledge to the development and evaluation of useful AI solutions. Depending on the project, my contribution could include:

Domain evaluation

Review HR scenarios and AI-generated answers for accuracy, completeness and practical usefulness. Identify unsupported assumptions and situations requiring human review.

Possible output: evaluation criteria, reviewed examples and structured feedback.

Use cases and business requirements

Translate an HR process into clear requirements: the decision to support, necessary inputs, business rules, exceptions and acceptance criteria.

Possible output: a scoped use case and a requirements brief.

Reward and workforce expertise

Support product teams working on job evaluation, salary structures, personnel cost budgeting and workforce planning.

Possible output: a domain review of the proposed logic, workflows and scenarios.

I can help teams developing AI solutions understand HR needs and processes, define the required functionality and assess whether the results are accurate and useful in practice. Depending on the team’s needs, I can contribute to a broader project or take on specific tasks, such as analyzing HR scenarios or evaluating AI-generated responses.
